WaveBox. How much is to much Current

I want to have my 270 gallon tank's (72"L x 24" H x 36"W) water volume turned over 20 to 40 times per hour (With external pumps). I have a WaveBox already. Will a one WaveBox Extension be sufficient to over come the disturbance in the frequency, cause by the currents? I want to do a 1" to 1.5" wave.

I don't even know that you would need that. Flow traveling in the direction of the wave will not decrease it, a flow coming against the wave will but not drastically, .5" at most.
