Wavebox in my frag tank?

Noticed the wavebox is good for down to like a 50g tank. WOndering how a tank that is 38X30X14 (69g) glass would handle the wave box. Water level is about 3inches down from top. Thanks for any info.

It will barely work, the wave would be about 1/2" and I think it isn't worth the money on smaller tanks.
