Wavebox: is it possible?

Hi,

This is the left side of my tank:

The water surface touches the underside of that bar on the left.

This next photo shows the right side side of the tank:

As you can see, it is a big overflow.
The tank is 78" long.

Will a Wavebox work in this kind of setup?

Not very well, unless you can lower the water level water will splash out of the tank.

I managed to open a bit more the holes where the water falls to the overflow.
Now, the water surface doesn't touch the left bar anymore and it's below some 3 mm from the bar.
Would this be enough?

You would need about 25 mm for it to work. The wave on a 78" tank would be about 25-40mm high.

So what would the wave be on a 60 incl ong tank? I am guessing smaller since the distance from the central folcrum in less the wave would also be less, right? How much less?

The wave height varies with overflow box position and other factors. On a 60 inch tank about 25-30mm would be my best estimate. On my 120 I get a 20-25mm wave. Tanks with center overflows produce bigger waves.

Since all the right side of my tank is the overflow, woudn't the wave height be much smaller than the usual?

Yes, but on a tank that long 25mm is short, 40mm would be more the normal height.

Maybe I should forget about the Wavebox
Anyway, if I risk it and buy one, and in the case it splashes water around, may I put the box aside and use the Stream that comes with it and connect it to my 7094 Controller like my other 6100 Streams?
If so, what is this pump max. output (l/h)?

The Wavebox pump is not meant for continuous use. You would have to buy the 6100 drive unit to use it that way. It is basically a 6200 with a smaller transformer and this works because it is never on long enough to need the full capacity of the transformer but it would melt down the transformer in the long run if run continuously.
