Wavebox Noise

I just received a wave box. I installed on the weekend and found out that it was noisy..

so I tested piece by piece:

1st - I tested the pump individually, and no problem

2nd - I tested the pump with the case and not being attached against any thing (I used my hand to hold it), plus to turn the power lower - noise was acceptable but no wave..

3rd - (same as 2nd) I attached against the side of overflow, any where of tank, the noisy is high - my son complained that there was a monster in my house...

any idea to minimize the noise level

Thanks

First, they get quieter after a couple weeks of run in, just like an engine the motor has to wear in and during this period they are louder than they will be after some use. I would make sure the sponge is around the pump as well as the large black oring that isolates the pump from the body. You could also use the rubber pieces that isolate the mounting rails from the mounting surface, this will reduce the carry of the vibration which is causing the noise.

Actually, the manual with the package was for ReefPack... How to get a copy of the manual of Wavebox.. How about download from Tunze Website ???
