wavebox on a 120 question

The wavebox certainly would provide plenty of flow. Why would you recommend a closed loop or a stream to supplement this? Wouldnt 8 or 10x turnover to the sump handle the debris removal? In my case 1000 gph would enter the tank at various locations of the bottom and overflow at the top.

P.S. Props on the wavebox! It is revolutionary indeed.

It is providing plenty of flow but it lacks one important aspect- direction. I don't know that 1000gph would give it enough direction to carry the debris to the overflows for filtering and removal. It might.
