It might work but I don't know for sure, I have never tried it. Are you near Lansing?
The wavebox does stress the seams and shorten tank life, how much depends on the quality of the tank. If you put it in a brand new Oceanic it might take a year or two off the life so instead of 15-20 years you will get 13-18 years. If you put it on a generic or off brand garage stored 10 year old tank it might blow open the first day.
