Wavebox on Eurobraced tank

Roger,
Upgraded to my new tank. Old one only had Eurobracing along the front and back. New one has Euro on all four sides. The water level is to high for the Wavebox to sit in. Any solutions other than removing one of the eurobraced ends, to raise to wave box up high enough.

Any help would be great,

Todd

I would definitely contact the tank manufacturer before making any modification to the tank, the wavebox will likely work positioned lower but not as effectively. It also sounds like your water level may be so high that there is not good way to use the wavebox, it doesn't sound like there is enough room from the static waterline to the tank edge to keep a wave from spilling out?

There's only abot a max of 1/2" below the Eurobracing. I did contact the manufacturer, and they said removing an end panel of the bracing shouldn't be a problem. If there's not enough of a gap in the water line, makes it a non-issue. I'd still really be leary of removing any bracing, using a wave box. I may put it in and see if it does generate any wave flow.Just cleaned all the Tunzes that were in the old tank, they are ready to go.

Good news. :)

Set up the waveboxes and got a solid 3/4 " wave. Figured it would be a little less with the water height up so far. So no more worries about removing bracing.

Now on to another question
I have a tank 96 x 36 x 28.This is the current rock work, mixed reef.

I have these pumps and controllers to add if needed.
1 - 6060
3 - 6100
1 - 6101
1 - 6200
1 - 7091
1 - 7095
Along with the wavebox and Wavebox extension.
Running a Reeflo Dart with around 3' of head., roughly 3000 gph.
I also wave 2 Vortech mp40w available.
Any suggestions for placement would be great.

Thanks,

Todd

I would use the 6200 on a single controller on the center of one side wall and then place the 3 6100and 1 6101 parallel to each other about 18" apart and aimed at a 30-45 degree angle on the back wall in the same general direction as the 6200 and use those in sequence mode on the 7095.

Roger,

Got the streams in today. Had one monor problem, on the newest one 6101, with the power supply and no"hocky Puck". Worked fine for around an hour, then shut down. The power supply blinks and the motor only pulses. Checked to make sure there was no blockage, everything looks good.First time using this one, so I don't know if there something I over looked.

Thanks,

Todd

This would generally mean the motor has died. Could you send in this pump?

Congrats, and thanks for being dedicated and getting back to me. :)

Sure, do you need power supply etc, or just pump?
