Wavebox Problem

Hello Roger! I came home today to find my wavebox out of action. The controller was showing it on and working, the pump however wasn't doing it's magic. I unplugged and took the pump out, cleaned it and started it up again and nothing. I'm stumped. Any quick fixes that can get me up and working again?
I'm using a 6215.200 pump.

Thanks!

Pat

I would start by checking that the drive unit isn't seized, the prop/magnet assembly should spin freely on the metal shaft. The shaft is stationary and the prop/magnet rotates on it. Calcium or sand can lock this together.

If you have another power supply from another Tunze pump to test with, you could also verify the power supply is OK.

Hello Roger, I've tried everything and I can't get it to work. Can I send it in to you to check it out?
Hey I just reaquascaped so took my wave box out for the first time in probably 3 years. I cleaned and put it back where it was and it worked fine for a few hours then the controller started to beep very loudly and the pump stopped working. Took it apart again the prop spun and pulsed like normal. The contoller worked as the prop pulsed properly. It seemed to work but then I came home tonight and the pump was out and controller beeping. The red and green lights on the controller are pulsing like normal. I unplugged it, cleaned it again and checked every connection 10 times. BTW I looked in the manual online and saw no reference to a beeping controller. There may be a reference but I didn't find it. Any clues?

It is the driver box (aluminum box) that beeps, this means the pump isn't spinning properly, usually because the prop assembly (drive unit) is jammed or stuck by a foreign object or calcium. I would start by looking at the stickied thread on the top of this forum about driver alarms.

That is fine, but we are out of spare motors and pumps so if the repair is more extensive, it will be delayed.
