Wavebox pump not working...

I have a wavebox which has needed a replacement pump last year. I think I was upgraded to the newer style pump.

Well it stalled out on me, so I cleaned it and it would work for a few cycles then stick again. So I soaked in in vinegar got all the calcium off it, and tried it out and it worked so I put the box back together, and once again after a few cycles it got stuck again.

Any advice here?

The most common cause is the propeller is bound to the shaft, if the shaft has never been seperated from the prop/magnet this is very likely. It should free spin as shown at the 25 second point of this video-

yup thats the problem.

I cant view youtube at work. Can you tell me how to go about fixing this? I figured the vinegar soak would do it, but I wasnt sure if it was supposed to spin on the shaft at all.

If it is a little stuck, you can pull with a twisting motion by hand after removing the disk and blue bushings.

If more severely stuck you will need pliers and you must be careful to not bend it or excessively mar it, you should only grab the ends that will be covered with the blue bushings.

In extreme cases if you can get the shaft flush with the magnet on one and and it binds you will need a punch or a thin nail and a hammer to drive the shaft through and out.
