Wavebox question, will this work?

Say you have a wavebox with a bad pump. Could you take an older 6101 pump, put the impeller and shroud from the wavebox pump on it and use it? Would it be any different?

Yes, you could do this, the 6261 was essentially a 6101 with 6200.700 drive unit and 6200.130 cover and the orings and sponge added. Since this pump never needs full power or draws the full capacity of a 6200 when being pulsed off and on, it works fine this way.

Would there be any difference with swapping a full on 6200 pump in there?

Not really, the performance would be the same but the 6200 has a slightly stronger coil and if they were to jam up, the 6200 would have a better chance of surviving but within reason there is no real difference.
