Wavebox Question

I currently have an older wavebox (with transformer) and I am considering adding an slave extension to it. However since this is an older unit, can a newer extension (that has the newer motor) be driven by the older transformer powered 6091? If not, then what avenues can be taken to add an extension to this older wavebox set up?

Steve,
Thanks for the response. I have had 2 tunze 6100s and the above meantioned wavebox. However after a Florida hurricane that took out power for the better part of a week. I lost my complete tank of acros and then the battle with algae after. Years of work downthe tubes. I just let the tank set fallow for several years out of depression.
However I am now jumping back into it. In an effort to learn from my mistakes; I just wanted to make sure that this time with the new wavebox that I had the capacity to have a battery back up when that time comes again.
So thanks again.
Robert

With such large system with many valuable SPS, i would suggest some type of generator. For my new tank i will have a large generator for back up. It may cost a bit upfront but will save lots of money later. You should use the battery back up on the stream instead of the wavebox IMO...
