Wavebox Quit working?

Roger,

Been using my wavebox trouble free for over 3 months and last night decided to move the controller to the side and suddenly it stop working!!

I plug/ unplug the driver and it works and then stop. Even the controller LEd is not on. Oh the driver is also extremely hot!! However, when the driver cool down, it works back again but only for a good 10 min or so and then it stops again....

The driver's location has not been change so cannot figure out what happen??

Any advise on trouble shoot?

Ed, try to remove the pump and follow the cleaning procedures. make sure you pay special attention to the bushing in the back of the propeller....

I did Steve but same results...it works when the driver cools down and once heated up again in about 7-10 min, it stopped working again??

Do you notice any moist from the evap or salt crib?

No, both the driver and controller is clean as a whistle...just find it odd that the driver seem to overheat very quickly and thus' cause the controller to 'off' and when the driver cool down again, all seem to work well....

Anyone else experience this??

I think you should bring it back to the store where you purchased the tunze wavebox from and have them take a look and figure out the problem...

I dismantle the wavebox today and packed it and send back to my distributor... I cannot believe my rotten luck, having 2 stream out of order within weeks of each other
