Wavebox wont power up

Hi,
There's no power going to the wavebox (6212), is there a way to test if its the powersupply or the pump? I have six other tunze pumps (2 6100's, 2 6060's & 2 6045's) they are all working fine.

The Jumper on the powersupply, does that work like a fuse? I hope its as simple as that :o

Thanks for your help

The jumper isn't a fuse, but it can burn out, there is a fuse inside but it is soldered and I have only see it blow if the unit is toast. The only definite test would be to test the ouput of the transformer with a voltmeter. Does the LED still light up on the power supply? While this isn't definitive, if it doesn't light up, odds are pretty good it is dead.

So the jumper is the LED light you are referring to? if so then it doesnt turn on. I pulled th powerunit out & there is a burnt like smell from the jumper area...so if the jumper is toast will the unit not power on? I know basic soldering is it hard to find a spare fuse & solder it in?

I will see if I can get hold of a voltmeter. In the event the unit is dead..whats the replacement option?

It sounds like it is dead, the LED is under the jumper and would light up even with a bad jumper. The power supply is not easy to take apart, it is assembled with a tamperproof screw and clips together as well. I wouldn't recommend changing the fuse as usually something is wrong with more major components if it fails, it isn't designed to be replaceable. Are you in the US?

Send it in, so long as it didn't get wet, we will replace it under warranty.

So I finally got around to plugging in the new power supply, the wave controller now lights up but the pump still wont power up. This power supply is different from the previous one that came with the unit....also I noticed there was a spare jumper in the power pack, something I should be switching out or rather what settings should it be?

The power supply should be the same? You will want to use the 24V jumper. It is possible the pump was bad and killed the power supply but I would first take out the pump and check it, the pump may have locked from calcium and debris from just sitting for a few days.

Checked the power supply its the 24V jumper, so thats good.

I took the pump out & checked, nothing blocking; also I used the downtime to pull the entire unit out & cleaned for next use. tried running it without the controller to rule out anything there...no luck.

P.S. my apologies, I confused the power supply description with the 6055 supply.
