Wavebox

Hi, I have been running a new wavebox in a 6' x 2' x 2' tank for approximatly two weeks now. I can not get the wave motion above 1/4 - 1/2 ". I read through the threads and since I have eruo bracing opted with the single magnet holder, and placed the screws in the box which the rod installation would have required.

I have also checked the foam around the intake to the pump, and have it set right back as one suggestion you made that it is only for vibration dampening. The wave box I must admit is about 1/4" below the blue line due to the bracing, and I have tried numerous settings on the pump dial with little success, I believe the suggested placement was 83%. The silver box pump performance setting is 100%.

The wavebox is now placed in the front section of the tank, not the most appealing area, but has a straight shot at the lenght of the tank. The overflow box is centre back wall for your info.

Any suggestions would be certainly appreciated.

There is no suggested placement, it takes a lot of time, often hours, to tune the controller to your tank. You need to turn the knob all the way counterclockwise and advance it forward in increments of the size of a hair and wait a few seconds each time to see if a wave develops, every tank is different and this tuning is unique to each tank.

Thanks Roger, tried your suggestion and just a hair from the full counter clockwise position I reached a wave of about 3/4 ". Will leave it there for a day to see if the wave increases to an inch or so.
