Wavemaker Maxi Jet Mod

Hello All,

Anyone using a wavemaker with the Algae Free Sure Flow Maxijet mod. If so what kind? Any drawbacks, better way to do it.

My hope of course is to get a decent smooth wave, like i seen with the vortech's.

the maxi mods will be able to create a wave...I built a wavebox with one. problem is they don't hold up. It lasted about 1 day before the rubber ends melted and the blades started breaking off the prop. Worked amazing! had a perfect timer, and everything was good untill it started to break.

now I've got 1 on each side of my tank on a wavetimer. I think they're on for about 1 min each side. after a couple months I had to replace one of the maxi jets as the back of the prop piece 'ATE' its way through the maxijet. just replaced the pump and everythings good again.

Seems like you know alot about wave makers. Anyone have any experieces running the Tunze MULTI-CONTROLLER 7095 with a pump other than the Tunze Streams. I heard good things but am hoping to not have to spend a ton of money on new pumps.
