I received a letter from my Workman's Comp Insurance company regarding my injury. My Doctors agree that I can not return to my previous career as a truck mechanic due to my permanent injuries.
They are offering retraining in another field where I can make equivalent money.
I noticed that a lot of you are in IT or computers and this is a field that I am experienced in and capable of doing.
I have over 20 years experience in building/repairing computers, Networking and broadband networking as well. I used to manage the north Florida area's installation/repair team for the largest ADSL carrier.
I would appreciate it if any of you know of positions available or if you own your own company and need experienced IT help if you would keep me in mind.
It's time to get off my butt and back to work doing something I enjoy as well as pays well enough to support my family and that I am capable of after my accident.
Anything that I find I will clear through the insurance company so there is no worries to the employer.
