Even as good as these pics tell you really have to see this tank to appreciate it - absolutely gorgeous and colorful. Even so the previous 300 was much better as it was mature to a point that you couldn't even see the live rock. The inhabitants from Wayne's previous setup were transferred here. This replacement tank is setup in the same place and is only a few months old.

Sweet John! I wish I could've seen it in person. I have a good excuse to come down to the bay area again :D .

Thanks for posting. Post a couple of close-ups if you can please.

Regards,
Kevin

That is amazing! Very clean. I love the clean look. Does he have a site up yet? If not, tell him to get it going!! I think we have the tank of the month for next month.

Kevin,

Definately hands down the best tank I've seen both on the internet and in person. It's just drop dead gorgeous and the most colorful I've seen. Man there were so many acros that had solid coloration - simply amazing setup. Every piece of equipment used was top notch (just about all was European).

You know what bummed me is that when I opened my camera bag to grab my 995 it wasn't there !! I wanted to kick myself in the but. Luckily Scott Noack who was also visiting saved my day as he had a Nikon 775 of which these pictures were taken with. I did have extra memory cards and Scott was nice enough to let me borrow.

More pics to come.

You know a pic like this really proves that reefkeeping is not only a science, but it's also an art. You need to know how to blend the colors to make it look so nice. I have seen few people that are as good as this pic.

Hey Tubs,........

I just looked at your site as well, and you have that art touch as well! Good Tank!!

Kev,

Here's one closeup. The green encrustation in the back is a monti with bright green polyps (duh) with a vibrant underlying purple tissue. The humilis is as deep a blue (not purple) as I've seen.

Thanks Jim,

But really there is no comparison to make. The size of the tank and the equiment are all put together with the inhabitants is top notch. The tank is starphire glass and certainly no expenses were spared.

Heck the 7 foot skimmer he uses was self cleaning - it has wipers on the damn column and 4 spray nozels to wash out all the gunk out. Amazing stuff.

I remember when he was first setting this thing up! He was inside the tank with a wet cloth cleaning it. Great tank! I think he should have a photo gallery on his site so you don't have to download a slideshow lol.....

Great Tank!

Beautiful!!! I love those blue corals. I can't seem to get my hands on any :( My humilis is a cream color. I was hoping it would color up but now I don't think so.

Thanks for the pictures!
Kevin

That is such a beautiful, and impressive assortment he has. Thanks for sharing those pictures tubs, and for the link to the site. :)

OMG!!!! That is one of the most beautiful reefs I've ever seen.:eek2: :eek2: :eek2: If any of you luck enough to get to see this piece of art in person could post some pics of the equipment also.

Ooops nevermind, I looked at his site. All I can say is wow, thats one hell of an accomplishment. My hats off to this reefer.:smokin:

Is that a clam all the way in the left,

ITS HUGE!!

Yup it's a Gigas. Here is another full tank shot. Keep in mind when you're looking at the gigas that the tank is 4 feet in depth.

It is HUGE.

As a side note, the previous tank had the tridacna population in the tank regularly spawning. I think there's a video of it on his website.
