Waynesworld tank build

holy $hit wayne, i knew it was gonna be a beast but now i understand just how big. whats the rough estimate on gallonage? im ULTRA impressed :) <~~~steve
 
man wayne...i know i already saw the setup in person...but i forgot how huge it was!!!....i was be checking the thread often.

p.s. once its done...can i go scuba diving in there?!?!?!?!?
 
Bring on the scuba:) Approx. 1200gals. When I measured it and told Wayne it was 1200, he almost got the skilsaw out to make it bigger. If Joy wasn't home I think we would still be cutting.
 
That is pretty awesome. How are you planning on supplying your water needs? Seems like just filling the thing would be ridiculous... Can't wait to see it up and running.
 
I am using the Kati Ani instead of RODI if you do a search you can read about it on RC. It has no waste water and rechargeable filters.
 
whats next wayne....a heated outdoor pool?...filled with a kilo ton of liverock and corals....that way, you'll never have to go to florida....you can have the beach in your backyard

That was a little close for comfort. One of them is still questionable. He may end up with a middle brace in the hot tub room. The rest should be ok.
 
Looks a lot different with walls in the new place (last time I saw it, there were only a few framing pieces and the concrete for the addition:)). I can't wait to see it with water in it. Only 1200... tsktsktsk:D
 
Open Water certs just got easier. No need to go to Martha's in Lebanon/Gallatin or Blue water in Pelham:D.

Really nice. Do those pics include the change in dimension to fit the 10' glass panels? Is that on the other side of the tank? I can' wait to see this thing!

Well got the seams done and now need to do the rubber liner that will have to be tomorrow I hope. I decided to use low iron glass from glass cages so I will try to pick it up on Tuesday or Friday.
 
You going to glass cages????? I wanna go.....itsy bitsy road trip! I wanna see tank sizes in person.....I am psyched now that the stand is in place in the house....I want my new tank!! I love how your new tank is starting to look.......ok, you win, no closed loop........(trusting you pal)
