I have a 10 gallon nano softy tank that I setup for a bare minimum of cost (around $50). Things in there are doing so well for the past year that I thought it might be time to upsize. I want to keep it in the nano size range < 30 gallons total and have always wanted something more cube like. I was going to make a tank with built in refugium out of acrylic, but upon doing some cost checks it appears I would need a 4x4 sheet of cell cast acrylic which would run me about $175. Not what I wanted. Getting glass in the past for me has been costly as well for some reason. I thought glass was cheap. Has anyone ever taken a tank apart, recut and put back together to get the size they want. I’m thinking in this way I can buy a 40 breeder for around $40 and make a 24x18 footprint tank. Not quite a cube, but close enough for me.
Also, are there good links to how to build a tank out of glass?
Thanks
