I moved here from Idaho about a year ago. The club up in Boise wasn't the greatest, but one they did do every year was have a city wide "Tank Tour." Basically, they'd pick a Saturday. A bunch of folks with nice tanks would volunteer to allow their houses and/or offices to be toured by other fish club members and the public. Various LFS's who maintained big tanks at businesses around the city got permission to open the the business to the public for that one day.
They'd create a master list of all the tanks that were open for viewing, along with a brief description of what was in the tank along with what times the house would be open. Most of them were 10am to 7pm, or something like that. It was posted on their web site, and everyone was able to figure out how they'd move around the town to see as many tanks as possible.
Anyway, just an idea I had. I read about other folks tanks on here all the time, and while the photos are nice, it's not the same as seeing your tank for real.
If anyone thinks this would be fun I'd be happy to help organize it, and see what we can get. Thanks much, have a good one.
