We need a place like this in the bay

I went there and bought a nano cube deluxe for $120, not bad. It is in artesia in a strip mall. not too bad, just have to be careful what you buy like anyplace else, the fish tank prices are cheap but if you buy other stuff from there, they mark it up. in the socal reef central, some like them, other trash them. I think they are ok.

Those prices are even less than what most local stores can buy for wholesale. Ask Gresham, as he is well schooled in this business. I spend the time to isolate and acclimate all specimens. What that amounts to is a lot of work, and in this hobby, what you pay is about what we lose before it's ever seen, and what it takes to save and preserve what we can. A place like this is probably as bad as the reviews I just read, and I would caution all my friends to know that a bargain in this hobby is rarely that. We live an expensive compulsion, but trying to take shortcuts rarely succeeds. I've been doing this professionally long enough to know.

I have no problem with my friends trying to save a buck, but do it wisely. Equipment and supplies don't die...

Has anyone even acquired a black tang from them for $99....went there the other weekend and they had nada...Whats funny is I called them first to ask them if they had a black tang in stock....these are the guys that was supposedly had 50 gem tangs in 1 tank...what is too good to be true is proprably is

Yah, those prices are far below true live rock export LANDED prices. There is ZERO money, in fact, a net loss, if one sold true live rock at that price. Now if you took dry rock from some place like PAF that sells Tongan and Fijian dry rock and drop it into SW for a while and call it live, then you could make some money. At $7 your looking at a great return, insane infact.

50 Gems, $99 black tangs, come on, it's a clear case of bait and switch (illegal in CA)
