We need volunteers...

Wayne, If I am able to come I am going to try to get Dustin to come to. He is young and big! I should know by Fri night or early Sat. morning, but I want call you that early! hehehe If we can come do you have enough room for us to ride? Thanks Ricky

Jason, we had already processed the idea of using the suction cup grips, but I haven't found anywhere that rents them. I talked with the window specialist at Home Depot the other night about them and none of their tool folk knew of anywhere that rents them - only places that sell them. And at close to $60 a piece, that's a huge dent in an already strapped tank budget. We built a rolling cart to help eliminate the majority of the carrying that will need to be done with this beast. Hopefully that will get us enough help...

brian, moriah....are you guys moving the this regardless of the weather?....if so....i can definitely come if it rains, since our games will be cancelled to keep the fields in good shape

I just wanted to post and let everyone know that we're going to change the time a little bit.

Let's aim to get to Angela's around 1:30 for loading up. This will let everyone eat some lunch and then head over.

According to the weather report I'm seeing, any rain is supposed to happen early morning-ish and then clear up during the day. Since we will most certainly be driving on all of my neighbors lawns to get the tank to my back door, and since any time suggestions I've seen have been for slightly later, it seems like the logical thing to do. It'll also free up people's mornings so you can do whatever you've got to do.

Moriah and I went over to Angela's last night to help empty out the rock and TRY to catch the fish (sandstorm made it difficult). I came home with "some" frags, the vast majority of which I'm storing and will be bringing for any noobs at the next meeting. By the time I cleared space in my frag tank and got done dripping and dipping last night it was past 4:00 :eek2:

Anyway, she's got some more work to do on getting the rest of the sand and water out, but I'm planning on going back early and I'm hoping that by the time everyone gets there Saturday it will be all dismantled and ready to head out the door.

I would estimate an hour barring no traffic (which I wouldn't expect to hit on a Saturday afternoon). Maybe a little bit more with the trailer. I think we make it in about 50 minutes(???), but I'm a lead-footed northerner with a little-bitty, semi-fast car, I tend to think of speed limits as guidelines, and I have also noticed that speed enforcement in TN does not seem to be a top priority.

For anyone not riding with Wayne that would like to show up and help...

Directions to Angela's from Nashville:
2796 New Port Royal Road, Thompson Station, TN
Take 65 South. Get off at the Peytonsville Exit and take a right at the top of the ramp. Stay on that road until you get to a red light with a Kroger shopping plaza on your left - take a left at this light onto Campbell Station Road. Abiding by the speed limit ( :) ) go until you get to the stop sign at the intersection of Newport Royal - turn right. Angela's is the sixth house on the left.

To our house from Nashville:
2121 Hwy 12 South, Ashland City, TN 37015
Take 40 West to 440 West. Take the Briley Parkway exit. Get off at the Ashland City Highway exit and take a left at the light at the top of the ramp. Stay on Highway 12 until you see the first townhouse complex on your right (Hickory Hills is the name of the complex.) Turn into that complex and take an immediate left. Park around the central building with the flag and mailboxes. We are in the row of houses farthest left from the entrance - unit #72.

Side note for people coming to our place...it shouldn't be an issue by the time we get back with the tank, but our complex is having the seasonal Yard Sale on Saturday so there may be extra people milling about...

If anyone gets lost or anything, feel free to give either of us a call.
Brian - Five 8 four, one 2 one 8
Moriah - Nine 7 two, eight 2 five 2

Hopefully we'll see you lovely people tomorrow at 1:30!!!

My cell also if anyone needs it 557- Five seven five 8. Yes, I am sitting here looking at all the work I still need to do tonight on this thing. I just wheeled the wheel barrel in the den to start scooping stinky sand out into. I am still missing the tiny blue reef chomis and my favorite Radient wrass. He must be hidding in the sand somewhere hopefully still alive :(. The chromi must have got chucked in some rock because I don't remember netting him last night.

Tank is in the living room and, as anyone who has been in our place knows, cannot be missed. Turns out my cart work to perfection and the suction cups we rented from Art Pancake's were wonderful. Couldn't have done it without all the help from MTCRers, their families, and friends. We'll of course pay that back whenever we can.

As best I can tell, everything looks like it made it through unscathed. and we'll be setting her up over the next few weeks...

Thanks to everyone that lent their hands, backs, time, expertise, and equipment. We might have to have an unscheduled MTRC meeting once everything gets transferred over so that there's more time to enjoy the previously offered free food.

This is definitely our dream tank and it'll be a LONG time before we outgrow this one.

I think I have been spoiled on both a cart and the suction cups though I only wish we would have brought 2 sets renting them for 15 a piece we would have to use them in the club 4 times and that would have paid for themselves I could have needed them that many times myself. I may get some.

I am so glad it fit and came through unscaved!! That cart was a great idea. I think the club could benefit from having a couple of those suction things for members to use.
