all was looking good and then we went to put the tank back up against the wall and DRIP DRIP DRIP...the bulkhead needed to be tightened....so pulled it back out....tightened everything and whew, drip totally gone.....our first lesson in plumbing this crazy thing. We are getting ready to cut the sides of the canopy for vents and I will get pictures tomorrow of that. Light fits tight but PERFECT inside and we have figured out where to put all 3 power boxes inside the canopy. Sump is almost done, need to build a stand for the skimmer. We will be putting some rock and water in probably in a few days....and by the weekend we are hoping to actually get the entire thing up and running through the system....will have some update pics soon...I am SO Tired of this already...ugh
:D

All the little leaks are a pain in the butt. I went through the same thing when we plumbed my 180. Plus running up & down the stairs. I cant wait to see it with the lights on. What skimmer did you end up going with?

I got the MRC-2....looks very nice so far and BIG.....I realize we will go through this adjustment period, but it is exhausting!

Did you move the tank with water in it? Or just filled the overflow to check for leaks? Hate it leaked on you but glad you got it tightened down good this time. I liked to never get mine tight enouph. My hands were just not big or strong enouph and the hole in my stand was too small for Corys hands! Did everything else go smooth enouph and is water in it yet? Why are you going with external on the skimmer, too tall for the stand or something?

Yo Angela.....I will call you tomorrow and we can chat! I will home in the morning. Yeah, just tested the overflow....seems fine now I think.....No water in it yet but there will be by Saturday....we are just so busy during the week that we are trying to just do little things during the week like cutting the vents in the canopy, getting ready to get the lights fitted in there and the power boxes screwed into the canopy....Then we are going to work on the last few plumbing issues and by saturday I hope to aquascape and get some water in it! Then sunday we will try to get entire system moving and see what it does and get it cycling...hopefully a short cycle since we have alot of cycled water from wayne and we will water change into it also. I need to decide if I am gonna put my maroon's in because we are thinking of getting percs instead, but kills me because they are so healthy...and my very first fish....
