web page setup

Morning everyone,
I'm starting to travel more for work and I would like to setup my profilux on the web so that I can view it and make changes if necessary.

I have the profilux with the lan car hooked up to my apple airport express wireless router. I would like to add a wireless camera as well, but I'm in 100% how to go about doing this.

Can someone talk me through the steps to setup the profilux on the web? I have installed the profilux software on my work laptop and am able to view the tank when I am at my home.

OK first, you plan to login in the profilux with the profilux software correct!

1st thing assign a fix ip address to your profilux, don't let it use DHCP.
2nd open your AirPort Utility and go to the menu "Internet" then go to "NAT"
NAT.png

under that menu and check "Enable port mapping" the click "Configure Port Mappings..."
Advance-Port.png

Then click on the "+"

Now in the public port put "10001"
In the private IP address put the IP that you have assigned to your Profilux device.
In the private port number put "10001"

Now save everything and your airport should reboot.
Now you should be able to login to your profilux, you can pm me your ip if you want me too test it and also I can configure your Airport remotely if you are really stuck.

Ok kidney, I have a problem so far. Under the internet section of my airport express, it has only 'internet connection' not DHCP or NAT. This is because the 'connection sharing' is off (bridge mode).

Can you help me fix this?

an at&t wireless router with the wireless turned off. I could never figure out how to connect through that device though

Ok so the port forwarding will have to be done on that device, and I have no clue on how that device works......... Why don't you use your airport to do all that?

The reason is b/c we have att fios, which comes over a cable (coax) line. Unfortunately, the airport doesn't have that connection. I have the airport connected directly to the att device. Is there a way to turn off the att device so that the airport does all the work?

you need port forward public 10001 to internal XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX port 10001

XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX will be the IP address that you assign your profilux

Thanks. So when I click 'connect' on the profilux, it will connect to an IP address. This is the one that I want to use, correct?

Ok, so when I call att, I'll have them help me set up the port forwarding with the info above. Then when I'm in the house, I can connect via my wireless network at the profilux ip address. How do I connect with the public IP address when I'm at work?

Hmm, I'm not sure I have everything connected properly. Can I call you tonight and see if you can talk me through everything?
