Webcam usage over Frontier DSL... anyone tried it yet?

Is anyone here is making use of a webcam over Frontier DSL? (I'm in Rochester, but I suppose if Frontier offers it elsewhere, then that experience would be just as valid).

I am thinking of picking up a camera (probably the Foscam FI8918W) to keep an eye on the tank (ok, and our 2 bunnies, also :bounce1:). Before I spend the time and $$ I was just wondering if anyone had any experiences to share on whether they were successful or not in getting a camera working via Frontier DSL. I'm mostly concerned about any limitations Frontier might have in place which would make it technically impossible to do this.

I'm not terribly concerned about the video quality, so bandwidth isn't a big concern to me. I'm just curious if there are others out there that have gotten a webcam to work over DSL.

Thanks,
Mat

Should be fine although I just did a speed test on frontier here in work in roch and got pretty poor download speed. Upload speed was very good though.

My inlaws have Frontier (we have Road Runner) and we've been able to Skype successfully, albeit with not-so-great resolution. I don't know what their actual baud rates are though.

I can tell you from intimate knowledge of Frontiers network and core that there is nothing preventing you from doing this. Feel free to PM me if you need any further information.

Thanks for the info, Joe! I'll give you a shout if I get too stuck with it. I appreciate it!
