Webcams which can be used with the forthcoming Apex web pages

Yeah, says $250 in one link and I saw it for $140-160 too.

Have a frys 1 minute from my house. Love that place. Ima go check it out and some others while I'm there.

The best image quality I've seen so far was from one that Russ linked to- a Cisco WVC210, but it's no longer available :(
A friend of mine has a 4 figure PTZ camera and the quality is not as good as the Dlink I got so it just doesn't look like there's any great options out there, regardless of price.

Sounds like you have a good one. $450 is a bit pricey for me. I might get the one you have. For the price of the foscams, I know a few people who are very happy with them. Keep us update if you hear of anything better with a small price tag.

Hooked up the Foscams yesterday evening and messed with them the rest of the day.

I am not completely impressed yet with the picture on the one for the DT...there was at one point when the LED light was dimming down that I could make out the reef...I have some obvious lighting issues to figure out. Dark room, bright lights....so it is like looking at the sun. The second behind the tank in my little fish room to check out the sump has a very acceptable picture.

Reefahholic, give me a call and I will fix a log in for you if you want to check them out. The two way audio is pretty cool and the iPad app works very well. I like how the Foscam app lets you group Cams, and has a thumbnail type view for each group, and you tap which camera you want to expand and control. Hopefully I can figure out my lighting conditions soon.

I'm gonna have to mess with the parrot today from work...hope I do not freak him out too much.

Still hoping to figure out the lighting issues.

Still hoping to figure out the lighting issues.

Looks better than it did Dave!

I saw this guy say this about the D-Link DCS 5222L camera.

"No ant-flicker like the cheaper cams have so it does not work well near HID lighting"

^^^ could that be your problem as well. Your lighting is hid right (in canopy).
