website hacked

The ETRC site. I won't post the link so as not to enable the radicals who hijacked it.

It's kinda silly to hack a reef club website. I mean wouldn't there be much better ones to take over?

Haven't checked it out yet, but someone comes to mind. I know he was IT, but not sure if he is capable of hacking a site...

Pretty scary nowadays. It will be interesting to find out what Iran says on Aug 22nd. I think they may announce that they have working nuclear weapons. Our only hope then might be to dust off the neutron bombs..

wow I didn't realize that we were such a political group that they need to get the message out on our website, I mean when I want all the breaking news form around the world our website is where I go.(definite sarcasm incase you couldn't pick up on it.) IDIOTS, of all the sites to hack.

Most hackers look for small sites with minimal security to practice on before hitting the bigger more secure sites. I don't think our site was chosen just because it was a reef club site, but more likely because it was a site with low traffic and low security.

If I was to make a guess, a website developer called Big Orange comes to mind:uzi: :furious:

My guess...

The 22nd could be an interesting day indeed...
I worry less about what they will say than what they will do.

my guess is that it was an easy target for a newbie hacker to practice their skills. However, I did get a laugh thinking it could be the closet flamer aka big o.

Lets hope it's not a big hassle for Scott to fix it. Seems like just a redirect thing.

I really don't think that "you know who" has hacked the site. If he had, he wouldn't have hacked it as a radical muslim in my opinion.

This is pretty scary...and Dave is right, the 22nd could be bad but I hope that it's just another day.

Roger

I do not have the "pleasure" of knowing the fellow some suspect of this hacking. I am a bit curious though, because who has a problem with a reef club?
If I had to guess I would say the site was an easy target and found with software automatically.
