Weird Creature in my tank?

I didn't know where to post this so I just thought I would put it here. I have this thing that is attached to the back glass in my tank. I looks like a white worm but it is zig zagged and curled up in acircle? I tried to get a picture but it wouldn't upload. I would just like to know if it is harmful or not.

Ok, is there anything that comes to mind when you read that description? I will try pictures again

Does it look fleshy or hard? Has it moved at all? If you can get a picture it would be a whole lot easier.

It kinda looks like a string of cotton, so it looks soft. I haven't seen it move but it just appeared there one morning so I guess it does move. I still am trying to upload a picture but nothing is working in that department

Upload the picture to photobucket or another picture site. Then copy the picture's image location (picture url) and paste it here & the picture will show.

Yes, need picture. just a hunch- do you have snails? snails lay eggs a lot in reef aquaria (Though don't expect them to hatch and grow), the word white- zigzag kinda makes me think of sting of snail eggs.
