Weird Growth on Snail?

I've never seen this type of thing described before, and I was wondering if anybody else knows what this is.

It looks like its not exactly part of the snail.

Oh, lo and behold there's another shell irregularity on the bottom.

A couple hours of sleuthing later, I find out they're slipper limpets, and lucky me I have two, I moved them to my 10 gallon and stacked them together. Let's see how that goes.

Yep, I've had those on my turbo snails before.
