Weird little starfish type creatures

I have noticed over the past few months a new inhabitant to my tank. Well, actually there are many and the more I pick them out the more I see. These little boogers resemble starfish, but they all have various numbers of legs. Some have 3, some have six. I've read that this is a possible predator type starfish but have never seen the beasties munching on my corals. They are no larger than 1/8" to 1/4". Any feedback would be helpful. Or similar experiences with this.

I like mine. There are rumors on the net that they eat corals and Zoos. This is probably true in some cases. Mine grazes on algae on the glass. Most likely they are only dangerous if they can't find any algae although there might be some species that just go for coral like animals like their bigger cousins.

most will not eat coral but some do or they will smother zoas, also they multiply fast I also liked mine and had no problems for a long time until one day they started eating and smothering my zoas. I got a harlequin shrimp to eat them and i am goin to feed it chocolate chip starfish legs every other week. my harlequin ate thousands of these starfish in like a month.
