Weird Spots on Clownfish

Ok, I have two clownfish. Not exactly sure what kind they are but I think they are oscilleris (sp?).
well I have had them for about a year now and when I got them they were are bright orange and pretty. As they have aged they have gotten more black on top of their head. Well in the last month or so they now have black circles all over them.
is this normal? is this some kind of disease?
they dont seem to be adversly affected by them and they eat and seem healthy.
I can get pictures if necessary.

Are they being hosted by any corals? From what you describe it sounds like the marks/stings that they can get from being hosted by corals (( usually soft corals )). If this is the case, it is nothing to be worried about.

I dont really seem them host anythings but I have zoas, pallys, frogspawn, mushrooms, candy canes, duncans.
so its proboly just coral stings?

I'd anticipate sting marks. My male Occellaris has a couple small black 'freckles' The female is fine. They don't host anything specifically, but I have a mix of various corals in the tank that could potentially cause stings. Otherwise, they are both super happy and healthy and prolific egglayers.

My naked O. had spots all over him for a while. Everything I read said it was normal and they would likely go away. Usually from coral stings.

I had never seen him get close to anything but they did eventually go away. He's a nice pretty unspotted orange now.
