Weird thing on Zoa

What is that red thing literally glued to my zoa?

Is it harmful? It's getting bigger... It's been there for a lonnnnnng time and my zoa is doing great. I just finally had a chance to get a shot of it and ask for ID.

that is a tunicate.a filter feeder and a very nice one i might add

it is a nice one but i would still remove it. while not as invasive as some sponges, it still isnt doing the polyps next to it any favors

i tried to before posting this thread, but it's "super glued" to it. i'll see how the zoas react and then i will decide. thanks
