Welcome all, to the new STARS forum. We want to invite any and all hobbyists in Las Cruces, Alamogordo, Sunland Park, El Paso, Deming and any surrounding area, to join us here at Reef Central. We would also like to extend an open invitation to any and all hobbyists to join us for fun informative meetings, meeting dates and locations will always be posted here on the forum.

STARS is a newly formed society of local hobbyists that many Reef Central members already know. We welcome and encourage all to join us. We strive to have a totally open forum and a society where every member has a say and will be heard.

Please feel free to start new threads about anything that you would like to see discussed here.

Most of all lets all have some fun.

Yes, welcome everyone to STARS :dance:

This club and forum is intended and designed to be a fun, educational, and informative environment that is open to all despite varying levels of hobby experience. A lot of work has been put into STARS and a lot of work still needs to be put into STARS. Everyone's opinions, insights, and suggestions are not only welcome but encouraged to strengthen the club. As mentioned above there are no geographical boundaries to this club, ALL are invited to participate. Feel free to post on the STARS forum, shows us your tanks, give us some suggestions, let us know your opinions, building a new tank? show us, and remember "its all about having some fun!"

I would really like to thank those that were involved in getting the club off the ground. A lot of thought went into designing and implementing the basis for this club and now it is time to let the fun begin! :beer:

What's up Jay, sorry for not making it this past weekend I had to go with the wife across the border that day, I been kind of busy with things around the house but I just got my light set up a couple of weeks ago, is a Sfiligoi's Infinity DSE 6x250w SE, 8x39w T5 and 8 Led Moon's but as far as the tank I will have to wait a little longer, I had to do something else with the budget I had put aside for the tank, but I will get there little by little, as far as corals I should be getting 2 orders this coming week, I should be getting the Orange Immolation, JF Crazy Fox, JF My Miami, JC Supergirl and a few more. I'm done collecting chalices already I got over 100 of them and I don't have where to put them anymore, also the wife is tired of seeing a bunch of tiny frags so I have to step it up and get the tank going, you are more than welcome to my house Jay you know that, did u ended up getting those scolys?

Nice meeting pics and the green bottle frag was nice and cold. I will bring Koolaid frags for Steff next time. The bilaws will soon be in their final version and ready for signature. What do you guys think the best way to share them with everyone? Sticky? Thread? Any ideas?

Jay, I do you remember the one. I had a couple of them for this name. It doesn't have to be like that. The ones I brought were just quick ideas I came up with for the meeting. I liked the idea, but we didn't discuss any of that during the meeting, as you well know. I can scan them and will email to you. How is that?

Sounds good! Yes, I was telling him about our club and he asked if we had a logo so wanted to show him an example. He has some ideas and worked at the Las Cruces Bulletin as a graphics artist so he knows all about the color requirements!!
