Does anyone know where I can buy weld on. I am tryin to put my sump together this weekend and Im thinking it will be pretty hard without it.

How do I know which one I need. This is my first acrylic project, so its kinda an experiment.

Thanks

It depends on the application, 3 sets faster than 4. When I made my sump I used 3 and had a little crazing in places, I think because the solvent is so aggressive, but it could have been the acrylic I used as well. I will try 4 on my next project to see if that helps.

I know weldon 3 is just like water, only thinner. I had a real hard time getting it on and keeping it in place. My first project was a sump. There are worm tracks all over it where it ran acrsss the sheet. I have not gotten much better. I usuall coat both joint points, and then hit them again just befor I stick the together. I also add one more run down the seam and let it wick under the joint to be sure I have a good bond. I would like to see some the consistency of paint, something I could control, but with no skills, I don't see that helping me either!!

Does anyone have just a little that they want to sell? This is my first acrylic project, if it looks bad it may be my only. Right now it just has to work. I was hoping to put it together tomorrow night.

I have 99% of a quart you could borrow. You will need to come and get it as I am not supposed to drive for the next few weeks yet. I am in Troy Il. There should be some people closer with it.
