Anyone in the club know how to weld?
I have and idea that i need help with i need like a cookie cutter made. I want to make some custom frag plugs.. If u weld my cutter ill give u some plugs.

Also any one have access to a kiln??

Was thinking of use sheet metal or something thin like a cookie cutter. Nothing thicker than 1/8 in. Any type would work I would think. It just has to stamp out a shape of a 3/8 thick slab of ceramic clay.
May be able to use a cookie cutter then do the rest by hand. A custom cutter would be best if I want to make a bunch

I saw the ********* email about diy frag plugs today and gave me few ideas. If we can find a local pottery place to have them fire stuff for us I would think this would be a fun meeting. Clay is cheep... its just the kiln. Found few small ones uner 800$.

Oh if I knew you guys would be in need of a kiln I would have picked up one that was free a few weeks back on Craigslist. Owner said it worked very good just did not have use for it anymore.

Does it need to be metal? Could you just get a cylinder from tap plastics. Are you looking to make round plugs or weird hex plugs?

I have a friend with a water jet CNC, he could cut whatever you like out of basically any material. It's his business so I'm sure he would charge a small price for labor and material. I'm proficient in CAD so I could draw it up for you and him.

I weld and have equipment. I was given $1200 kiln that I have no plans of using. I haven't had a tank in years but miss them daily. I just bought my wife a used nano and will be setting it up after we strip, stain and seal the stand and canopy.
The tank currently has a de 150 metal halide but I'd like either a mh,t5,moon light combo or powerful led that won't bleech sps. Do you have anything to trade or know someone with a light they would trade to you?
I can most likely weld up what ever you're looking for but have you tried manipulating an actual cookie cutter into the desired shape using large needle nose pliers?
