Well, at least I get to start over again...

Thanks everyone, This one has been the hardest (and it continues). My last one was the RO issue a few years ago (then the AEFW and Monti nudi's last year...). It's been kicing me in the butt about every year. I finally had the SPS tank looking just like I wanted it with tons of nice stuff...

I haven't been online in days now... I'm at 100% acro loss, with actually only two SPS remaining from either tank-M. peltiformis and purple rimmed cap-neither looking super great. Lost all acans-lords and echinata's (some still hanging in there but looking horrible and getting covered in some sort of white fuzz that spreads regardless of fragging-next stop is LPS forum to see about dips...). My leptastreas are going/gone (had about 7 different colors of them...). None of the zoas have opened and some are getting the fuzz... Shakes is the worst of all. I haven't found a body on Shakes and her beau, but found every other body. I did have a few hiding survivors. The lawnmower blenny I got as a stowaway from Mimi and both gobies from Mimi, as well as two peppermint shrimp. My three clams are still looking okay, so I hope that continues... By the time the total die off is complete, I think I'll be around 90-95% from both of the large tanks (SPS, zoas, LPS-the large green nephthea is still looking okay, though). It must have initially been the cold. Two of the bins were taken out by cucumbers. They got sucked into the powerheads and polluted the water (in larger volumes, this has never been a problem before and I will have cucumbers again). Everything in those tubs died. The christmas wrasse took out another tub when he died-must have been stressed. Jenn said the Large cinnamon clown was stiff as a board when she got here from Nashville on the ill fated night (very cold that night). She didn't really communicate that to me until thid morning... When she mentioned it that night, it sounded more like a sluggish thing than a stiff as a board thing. That may be what got both of those tubs (Shake's tub and the Cinnamon's tubs). Once they were here, the temps were lower (75 or so), but I didn't figure that was enough to hurt them, given Alan runs his lower. Oh well. Got to make it better now with a behind the wall tank room to which everything will be plumbed. We have two big closets in the MBR, so get to confiscate the one behind the tanks and combine it with a smaller closet to make a tank room. Heat and noise considerations in the living room, coupled with margeritas got me that one;).

Jenn's tank is fine:). Both of her fish are fine and all corals are looking great, anxiously awaiting a larger home (talked her into the 50g GC tank after Anthony sold his 65 stand-just need to make an overflow box and drill some holes).

Again....sorry to hear about the losses but glad some things seem to be pulling through.
Good to "see" you on the boards again:)
Sounds like the new plan is a winner....I think a dedicated tank room is what we all want to do someday...at least I do.
Lust LMK when the plan comes together and you need a few new starters;)
I also have a few acans and zoas...ones you gave me and others. That particular zoa you wanted that didn't grow much for a while is starting to spread a little.

Oh, you know I'll be in touch. Most of my favs came from you;). Luckily, I got out a few frags of some other thigns before the move, so I can hunt some of them down later. I can't wait to get started on the new tank room. I'm going to plumb the 120 and 125 together and go through the wall to the room. The room will require some demolition and building, but I think I'll enjoy that. That'll take a while... I found a decent store down here, though, with some nice stuff, though pricy. He has this awesome rock of red palys (actually palys like button polyps). I'm trying to talk him out of it, but he wants a ton for it (hundreds and hundreds he said in vague)...

you know there are limitless ways to replenish. :)
I don't get upset over the $$$ so much when I lose something--it just makes me sick that I killed something...accidental or not.
we'll be in touch.
cheers,
casey

When you get ready we should start a thread of who has what fraggable. That way I have the green/purple rim, a purple, a bright green, and a orange montie I could frag and someone else can offer up the millies even though I have 3 of them also but it could be a club effort if you know what I mean? That way no one person is ravaging there tank all at once. You have always been so helpfull and contributed so much to the club I don't think it would be in bad taste at all to put up a wish list/what I lost thread and let people who are willing post what they have. That way the club could coordinate a big frag out and ship it all in one big box. Talk about a QT nightmare but its just a thought. Oh and now would be the time to get that one BIG tank ;)

What was Shakes?

Shakes was a Maroon clown Gary had kept for ~ 10 years I think. She hosted in one of his GBTA's

maybe that explains the lack of returned calls... PM me.

Will do:).

I found my true RPE's still alive, so I've got even more to smile about:). They were in Jenn's tank (nothing skipped a beat from the move in her tank). I'm getting so much support and so many offers. You guys are awesome. I'm gonna have a restocked tank soon:). Fishdoc-you are the man. You always bail my coral killin butt out (RO crashes, AEFW's, this). ETRC is offering up stuff, too. You guys are trying to make me emotinoal, aren't you. I'm...feeling faclempt(sp?-like it matters;))... taolk amongst yoaseves. You guys are awesome. If I still had Shakes, it would all be a thing of the past already.

In all the whining I've done, I forgot to thank those that helped me in the move. Stowers, and Brian and Moriah spent an evening with me while I unloaded the 120 (was hoping to have it empty by the time they got there so all they'd be doing was helping me move the tanks into the UHaul, but it took about 4.5 hours to break the 120 down and 3 hours to break the 125 down...). Demos helped me move a monster dresser into the POD (I dragged the 500 pound body as far as I could;)). Coralreefing really came through for me in a pinch. He came over and helped move the 125 into the UHaul, then came back for more punishment and dragged the Mustang onto the car hauler by himself (sume along assited, but he did all the work), and helped me get the livestock into the cargo van. The Mustang had me worried... I was emotionally and physically drained by the time the actual move came around and you guys helped me tremendously. I miss Nashville already...
