Well guys, I'm back in business...

I couldn't go without a tank for too long. So, tonight or tomorrow I will pick up my Aquapod 24 with Nano fission skimmer. I did not go with the 70W HQI halide buit in so I will immediately start trying to plan how to fit stronger lighting under the hood for it. It will come with 54W of PC stock. I've got sand, rock (uncured), and water waiting in the wings.
Since I am going smaller than my last tank, I want to be very selective of what I put in it, so my livestock will be added slowly while I find those extra cool specimens (of course I will be limited by my lighting on what corals I get). I will focus mainly on zoos and shrooms for corals, with one or two leathers that I can keep pruned.

Here are the details on the tank and skimmer

I look forward to getting back into the swing of things (and going to the next club meeting at Paul's after the monster comes to life)

Of course, all "new tank" donations will be readily accepted, including advise ;)

If you ordered the aquapod halide model it doesn't come with a hood. The PC model is the one with a hood. You shouldn't have too much trouble getting a stronger light over the 24 without the hood.

I got the tank up and running last night. I added one bag of aragonite sand and app. 30 lbs. of cured LR (thanks Chris).

The skimmer looks and behaves like any other skimmer. The collection cup is really smalll though. The collection cup has a nozzle where you can attach some airline tubing and run it to a larger collection media (platic soda bottle). I'm not sure how well it works though. Too soon to report on that

My first additons (after the cleaning crew) will probably be a couple of non-typical percula clown fish (I've always wanted some non-typical patterns), a Catalina goby or two, a pair of firefish, and any sweet zoos I can get my hands on.

Anyone else have any suggestions on some realy cool smaller fish.

Clown gobies, prawn gobies, fire fish, chalk bass, dusky jaw fish, orchid dottyback (small)...I've always liked all of these.
