Well, I'm moving after all....

Long story short, I'm moving back to the area after all. The house still hasn't sold, but work has forced the move regardless. I won't be able to buy another place just yet, so the family and I are moving in with my parents in Healdsburg. Seems strange that a 33 year old man, his wife, and 2 daughters would do so, but I guess you do what you've got to do. School starts on Wed for my daughter, and we really didn't want to move her mid year.
The new tank is coming with me and will get set up at my parents house. I will be moving it over next Saturday. I've got some fellow reefers in Sac helping to take things down, but could really use another pair of hands on the other end in Healdsburg. A 250g tank, stand and canopy are just a tad heavy!!!! Any volunteers would be most appreciated, but I won't have a good estimate on time until we are done packing up on this end. I'm hoping to leave Roseville by 2pm, which would put me in Healdsburg about 5ish.

Woooohoooo. Sorry that the situation was forced (stupid work!!!) but we are glad to have ya. I am helping move a friend that day but we should be done by the time you need help. We just got done moving my 210 and I gotta say, it would have been a real struggle with any less people, so count me in!!! Glad to have you in our neck of the woods.

Thanks Jeff. It's not exactly an ideal situation, but that's OK. Just another one of those unplanned life experiences. I'd love to have your help.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the help. Now I just need to make sure I plan out the plumbing as everything now has to go in the stand. It would really suck if I found out I needed parts before I could hook things back up.

Welcome back to H-town! Where do your parents live (I'm just north of the hospital on Prentice)?

Ironically, I will actually be up in your neck of the woods (well, El Dorado Hills) next weekend to participate in a Fantasy Football draft, otherwise I would definitely be happy to help out a fellow 'burger (and should be available in the future if/when you make the next move).

No need to broadcast it here, but where is your daughter going to be going to school (my 3 year old starts preschool on Tuesday!)?

Anyhow, back to work for me - looking forward to seeing you around town!

They live on Wildhorse Ct., right across from Simi Winery. My 6 yr old daughter will be going to Wright in Santa Rosa for 1st grade. My sister teaches 1st grade there, so Jaiden will be in her class.

I'm down to help. It'll be great to have a new "active" member in the club! Too bad the move wasnt instigated by your own accord though.

I just talked with Jeremy and he said they are running late. They hopefully will be leaving in the next 1/2 hr.

Wow, that was a looooong day. Thank you Dale, Jeff, Chris, and Mike so much for the assist. I'm sorry that it took much longer than I had anticipated to finally get over here, and you all rose to the occasion any how. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your help.

Well, just wanted to thank everyone again for helping me move this beast! The tank is up and running, with a few pieces yet to be put into place, but I'm taking a bit of a break from the tank in order to deal with the work situation. I'm not sure how much the group would care to come to Healdsburg for a meeting, but I'm open for a meeting here so everyone can check it out first hand. Not sure who I should direct this offer to, so any assistance would be welcome. I'll see about getting a few pics over the next few days to share.:D

What up J,

I know how ya feel, just finally got the last of my stuff mounted. I was feeling kinda down and out about the whole reef thing after moving, but after finishing I found (borrowing this from Tom) "my inspiration" again and am now really excited and love to stare at my tank again. As careful as we were during the move, sadly it was my own laziness that caused me to loose alot of high dollar coral because i was just too tired to mount anything (they either got lost under the live rock, touched other corals or they just said to hell with this). I for one would love to come and see your tank setup (I mean put together, i already saw it spread out all over the garage floor.) If you need anything or need some help doing anythin dont hesitate to holler.
