I'm adding the pics to my Photo Gallery, so please check them out there (if you can).

I was given the tank and base for Christmas. I started off with the live sand and small amounts of live rock. The first fish I bought was a dragon goby 'Daniel' for $23 and I also got a snail and 3 hermits, probably 2-3 weeks in but my tank was cycled. I wanted something to clean the sand and to help get the tank started. After about a week or two I bought the fish I've wanted all of my life... the Lionfish. I got a medium sized lionfish for $65 aka 'LionO'. Within two days my goby was being stalked and eventually eaten despite the info I was given at the fish store (that's when I started checking compatability on my own).

After pleading my case, I was given a $10 credit on my next purchase which was a Coral Beauty Angel. Angel has been a great addition although she is very skittish. I say 'she' like I know if it's a male or female.

At this point in time I think I'm going to do a fish only aquarium and I had picked out several fish that I liked, that I knew would be able to live together peacefully. That's when I went overboard and made a purchase from liveaquaria.com. I bought a snowflake eel 'hannibeel lector', foxface lo (rabbitfish) 'foxy', yellow tang 'lemmy' and a blue tang 'dory'. My tank was complete. Dory scared me a little because she was smaller than I expected and I knew could potentionally be Lionfish meat. She's grown a lot since then but so has my tank.

About four weeks ago, I saw a scopas tang that I couldn't resist. All of my tangs were getting along well I decided it would be my last purchase. Man, was I wrong.

Just over three weeks ago, the local store got in an awesome lighting system that I couldn't pass up. It's an Orbit, 4 lamp 65w. I was in the store when it came in and everyone was drooling over it so why would I allow myself to leave without it? I also left with several more hermits and snails. Oh and a small frag off of something (can't remember what it's called but it was free- with MASSIVE purchase).

Two and a half weeks ago I was there when the shipment of new corals arrived. I caved in and bought my first corals: A bright pink Colt, a medium sized Hammer and a red fungia. Today, I added two Sea Urchins although I was offered 8 for the same price. I've added the Urchins but I read tonight that they aren't so reef friendly so I might be looking for new homes for them soon. I also realized, today, that I'm freakin BROKE. Talking about spending all your money in one place. Anyway, that leads me to the part where I realized I'm probably going to much too fast. Opinions and critisizms are more than welcome in this thread. Please comment/raise concerns about my tank. I know I need some help! I've been doing freshwater all my life but I'm only 3-4 months into marine.

Thanks for reading all this crap!

Well, though I don't have much experience with SW predators it sounds like you are going a little fast. Often said around here is that only bad things happen fast. The good stuff takes time.

I will happily welcome you to the "club" though. The feeling of brokeness, excessive spending and the "ooh I have to have that syndrome".

If you've got the lighting and are looking at corals I bet you'll continue to buy them. They are more addicting than the fish in my opinion.

I believe your urchins are "reef safe", meaning they won't eat the corals. They will however grab a hold of anything that isn't nailed down and drag it around the tank like it's their job.

Do you have a skimmer or anything like that? specs would be nice.

Best of luck! If you can, upload photo's to photobucket.com and then paste the

New pics on the way! Here's what I have: Prizim Protein Skimmer (75 gal) Regular carbon bag it came with in place right now as the filter. I tried putting in other things to filter but everything I've tried so far causes the skimmer to back up and leak. Any suggestions on what to use other than the carbon?

For filtration I bought the AquaClear Power Filter 110. Right now it too has the factory sent filtration items: Foam Filter insert, Carbon Insert and the NEW! Biomax insert (lol). I love the NEW! Like I care. I was talking to the guy at the fish store about modifying it, apparently he did his, which was the same model but I'm not rushing to get it done at this point although I hope to get it done in the next month. I also have 1 power head for flow, I forget what size but it was one of the largest. I'm sure these unmodified items aren't ideal but they are what I have to work with in my unmodified 75g tank. What other specifics should I include?

Thanks for the welcoming to the club :o) The Purple Urchins are doing great and they add quite a bit of flavor to my predator aquarium. They haven't gotten anywhere near any of my corals as of yet. If anyone is interested in some let me know, I still have the ability to get a few more if I want them!
