Well the 180 is actually going to happen

Finally after having it dry since Feb.

Systemwide it's turning out like this.

5 main external Pumps, 3 sumps, upgraded RO/DI unit 150 gpd with timer activated solinoid, Ca reactor with all the fixin's is back online with new 2nd stage added, 800 pounds plus of liverock, 1800 to 2000 pounds livesand, lights metals and Vhos and the VHO's will be swapped for t5's later, refugium going from 30 gallon to 100, 2 skimmers (One 7 foot by 6 in diameter dual venturi, other beckett monster) Ozotech Ozone generator, settling stage, chemical stage which I've not completely decided on the design, new electrical runs with sensor lights and overflow sensors with warning lights/buzzer, and enough PVC to choke a whale and whatever else I can fit into budding fish room. Upgraded kalk dosing and a sulpher denitrator. I'm sure I've forgotten something.

And from all the hoopla of power outages and concerns, gonna need a generator.

Sorry if I rufled your feather mike I was refering that we both need to Sh@$ or get off the pot so to speak But funny anyhow dueling 180 build might be fun ...lol Im shooting to be stocking right before thanksgiving to surprise my folks when they come in for a visit ....what kind of timeline are you shooting for ? Let me know if you need any help as I might be asking for a hand or two along the way myself ...I love building new systems might even be my favorite part of the hobby ....hehe

Well, my timeline Sean, is my 20th coming up. It has to be done before Feb 9th. Or is it Jan 9th? Hmmm I'm gonna have to find that calender from 89 again. I cycled my 1st 55 gallon which I still have...somewhere at my uncle's house. UG filter, lots of water changes. Oh yeah and some toy protien skimmer with limewood airstone. Live rock from FLA....still have those original rocks. Out of all of the liverock I've accumumilated I still know which ones were in that original batch. I even have some creeping pink gorgonia from that very 1st setup. It's the only thing next to the rock that has survived.


As far as help, you will need to PM me for phone number exchange. I'm out your neck of the woods alot.

Today speeddemonlsr (Tony) helped me move the 180 across the room stand and all. So I'm good on help for now. The rest is all me for now I think. Unless I decide to drill the closed loop holes. In which I have to get the tank safely on it's front so I can make putty well and drill it out.
