Wellsophylia placement?

Is it best to put this in the sand or on a rock?

I ask because I had one placed in the sand near my BTA and my mean Tomato Clown was kicking the sand up and almost covered my Wellsophylia - so I cleaned it off and replaced it on one of my rocks.

Just wondering if placement on rocks is bad for them or not.

I have heard that sand is better as they have soft tissue that can rip on the rocks, but i don't own one

Ya that's what I was thinking, I think tomorrow I'll move it. But I gotta find a new place for my tongue coral, it's kinda in the middle of the sand, lol.

I had mine on the sand initially. It moved around a lot and finally poked itself on my spiny oyster. He got moved up on to a rock block and he has never looked happier! My yellow headed sleeper goby does dust it with sand daily but it is able to puff itself up and get rid of the sand on its own. The sand may be better for the skeleton, but mine is doing well on the rock.
