Went on down to the lfs. Bought some salt (reef crystals) and they had a pistol shrimp in, got it for my ywg. not sure what kind it is but they paired up in 20 minutes. saw it digging a hole where the goby hangs out.
Went to the fish store.

Not sure why there is two post but they determined it is a tiger pistol shrimp.

Looks like that but mine doesnt have a huge claw like that. Mine is pretty little, maybe 3/4 inch long.

That one look exactly like mine. It is pretty cool how they use thier claws like shovels. I am luckey and i have a perfect view of mine he is making a burrow right in front about 3" away from the glass so i get to see the PS and the YWG all the time.

mine are off to the side of one of the rocks in the middle. I saw him digging at first but then he went to the back side. I looks like he dug another hole by the other spot where the ywg hangs out.

Yeah they dont get big at the most 1.5" when i got mine he was an 1". If you get to see him digging you will see the big claw.

What do they eat? Should I drop him some pellets or will the ywg feed him?

The YWG should feed him I just put some formula 1, Brine, mysis, Flake, Clam, or whatever and i just put some in front of the burrow. But the goby should come out and snatch some when you feed all the other fish. The shrimp will also get pods when he is digging.

Once in a while I'll actually take a pinch of pellets between two fingers, put my hand in the tank right above his hole and drop them in. It of course will scare the goby/shrimp back into the hole seeing your hand in the tank.
