Western_reefers 25 gallon Azooxanthellae tank diary.

Reef keeper
I JUST finished working on the 25 gallon tank, I got it all plumbed, filled it with rock, sand, and water. I hooked up a 11 gallon sump/fuge. There is 73 lb of fully cured live rock and 20 lb of fully cured live sand. The total water volume without rock/sand is 36 gallons, the total water volume with rock/sand is 30 gallons.
Here are a few pictures of the tank from morning and I'll take a few update pictures tomorrow.

Cool, I'll be interested to see what you do with the rockwork. I've been thinking of building a shallow long Np cave tank but I'll have to wait to see how yours goes now lol

Looking forward to seeing this tank running

Thanks! What size tank are you thinking of setting up?

Both of my Basket starfish didn't make the transfer. One fell apart in the holding tank before I set up this 25 gallon and the last one fell apart while I was acclimating it. :(:sad1: I've had them for 6 weeks tho.

That sticks! Post some new pixs!

I'll try to tomorrow once the water clears up a bit. I have some more bad news. The tube sponge started to die off, so instead of letting it die, I shredded it into a ton of tiny pieces hoping that some small pieces might grow into new tube sponges.

Sweet! Can't wait to see the rest of the stuff in there. I like the rock work. Do you really run it at 70 degrees? I am surprised it stays that low.
