Western_reefers 25 gallon Azooxanthellae tank diary.

Sweet! Can't wait to see the rest of the stuff in there. I like the rock work. Do you really run it at 70 degrees? I am surprised it stays that low.

Thanks! Yup, I run it at around 70F and below. It would sometimes get as low as 68F during the night. The temperature inside the house is about 67F.

Well hurry up Moses! I wana see that sponge. I might try ordering another one when the temp stabilizes down there.

My tube sponge died. I posted about it. lol Here it is: "I have some more bad news. The tube sponge started to die off, so instead of letting it die, I shredded it into a ton of tiny pieces hoping that some small pieces might grow into new tube sponges."

Missed that...sorry. Your was giving me hope!

If my tank never cracked, I'm sure it would have lived for a very long time. I did expose it to air for a brief period of time when I was saving all the livestock when the tank cracked, I didn't have time to get a bag for the sponge.

Added some chaeto and caulerpa into the fuge a few days ago. My favorite little fish died yesterday, Forktail Blenny, found him stuck in the powerhead. :( He had a lot of personality.

Here are a few pictures.

I'll also try to take a few update pictures of the Carnation Coral, it looks like its grown 1/2"-3/4". :D

The reason I mentioned the yellowing is because with my last tank I had to run a ton of carbon with my fuge. Also depends on the size of the fuge versus the size of the aquarium, plus turnover through the fuge.

Oh. Well, I have about 135 gph going through the fuge, so, thats 5.4 turn over, the fuge is 11 gallons, and the DT is 25 gallons making it a total water volume of 36 gallons. :)
