About how big in diameter are the basket stars? I might be getting one for my BC29, if it's too big it goes to slapshot!

slapshot ordered a sponge, and I was going to get one too and we'd split shipping but they didn't have another sponge so I said I'd get the star. But they only had one star and slapshot wanted one too. So he said if the star is small enough I'll take it, if not, he'll take it.

Oh, nice! Good news about the Basket Starfish! In the beginning, I had to squirt sooooo much food at them to get them to open a single arm, now, after doing that for a few days, they open up several arms on their own without me adding any food into the water! Woot! Less food wasted now! :D Also, Bongo, drip acclimate the basket starfish for at leas 4-5+ hours. I drip acclimated my basket starfish for 4 hours and 30 min. Be ready to feed tons to your system to get them to start opening on their own in the beginning.

I'll post a few more pictures later on.

Your going to put local Northern Cali mussels in your tank Moses? I've never had much luck with them above 60f but I hope they work out for you. FWIW you can get tropical "green lips", ask John @ Your Reef to order some :)

Yup. Hmmm... never knew there were tropical muscles. Thought they got them from colder areas like Margarita snails. I'll give him a call tomorrow. :)
