Wet Dry water clarity

I have a 90 Gallon reef tank with a wet/dry system w/ protien skimmer. The water in the tank if fairly clear but it seems that if could be clearer. I was thinking of either vodka dosing or adding seachem's sea gel thinking the carbon would help and the phospate romoveal can't hurt. Nitrates and phospahates don't really seem to be a problem but they are present at low levels. The tank has been up and running for over 10 years. I transfered it to my place six months ago. When I got it things were out of control but using ro water and some tlc, things calmed down. Now I'm just trying to tweek the system if possible. Anyone with similer systems or ideas let me know.
