Whammin Watermelons and Eagle Eyes??

they both pretty much look the same IMO. I think the eagle eyes usually have more of a yellow to the skirt and an orangish red center while the melons have more of a green to the skirt and red to the center. I still cant really tell which ones I have.

Very different in person. Eagle eyes are very bright green and long tentacles. Whamming WM, well there is nothing whamming about them IMO.

:)

I think they are the same.
The ones that people are callin WM are just a little better looking and that can be all because of tank conditions and lighting.

just my .02

will I guess I have both of them because I have ones that the color is real bight and othrs where the colors are real real bright. I agree though alot of these zoos are real hard to identify since they can be one kinde under one persons lights and then change completely to a morph under anothers lights.

They have always looked so different to me.

Eagle Eyes.

That sounds about right. I get confused because they are often mislabeled from one another, causing the confusion.

Great thread JuliusJames! I always wondered myself if they were the same. Timanator those are five star comparison photos. Thank you.

They are to very different and distinct color morphs when you see them in person. The WMs are quite red, while the eagles are more gold/tan/brown

I have both and I've even noticed some of the eagle's seem to have morphed into melons.

Not a good sign if the Eagle Eyes are shrinking?

Gotcha, I totally misread that post. I thought you meant they morphed in to each other by them selves.

Also there is another one that looks almost like Eagle Eyes but with short tentacles. They are from Fiji and i dont believe they survive in most people's tanks.
