What’s the best way to approach this?

Good morning friends.

I’m trying to go from my ATO container to my peristaltic pump. The pump has barb fittings on it and I’m trying to run some semi rigid tubing to prevent kinks.

Whats the best way to approach this?

Should I just push the rigid tubing onto the barbs? It seems like that would leak?

Pics attached.

The inlet side you can just push all the way on.
The other side you can use a small zip tie but it should not leak with the barb, there is no pressure on the line.
IF IT DOES, use silicone tubing over the barb & the semi rigid line.

I would soak the tubing in your hottest tap water for 30 seconds or so. Then press the tubing on the fitting. The heat will allow the tubing to stretch.

Then I would use a small metal hose clamp, like you’d see on a car radiator (but very small) to secure the tubing to the fitting.
