What a... Clown

So my clown has decided that my tank doesn't need a fun Nori clip or anything.

I got some Nori from Petsmart as I didn't have time to go to my LFS this week, I also got a cheap Nori clip, shaped like a clown fish. What my luck that it was attacked by my clown because it looked like an intruder. So now my Urchin has to find the MagFloat to get the Nori, and Ill have to go find another Noriclip.

Kinda funny I guess, kinda annoying too.

Sidenote: Anyone know if an Urchin will go to the Nori when they are hungry, or do I need to put it under him? I tried putting it near him, and it was ignored, and one was under him, but it seems to have disappeared, but it doesn't look like he ate it, since my Fireshrimp has taken a liking to it also.

I have used several types of clips, including the one that looks like a clownfish. The only one I found that wasn't junk is the one made by Ocean Nutrition

Yeah, it apparently isn't hungry. Im worried though as its not looking s its best and is loosing some spines. The only problem I have seen is that my heater got unplugged earlier this week and it dropped to 70, so its now at 76 and Im raising it back up to 78ish now.

I think this could be the main problem, and Im hoping that he makes it though, it still has most of his spines, but there are defiantly some missing.

Thanks, Im really worried as I have to go away this weekend, so if he does die or something, hopefully it isn't this weekend...

The water parameters are fine, but I might change the water tonight just for good measure. He hasn't really moved around the tank, but he was flipped up when I just went in, but I think the clownfish did that when he was rearranging the sand.

ZThe urchin is dying. Im going to be freezing him later today as I have to go away for the weekend and I don't want anything bad to happen to my small tank. I wish I could just l;eave him, but its too much of a risk, and he hasn't really moved at all. Hes sideways, back on glass, front facing a rock, but not attached or anything. Refusing to eat too.

Sorry to hear that. You don't have a qt tank you can put him in just on the off chance that he pulls through?

To answer your original question though, they will go to the food when they are hungry. I drop in Spectrum Algae Wafers and use Seaweed Salad and I always come home and find mine stuck to one or the other. He also loves to carry things around with him in his travels. As I look in the tank now I see a piece of caulerpa stuck to him lol. This is a pencil urchin.

I don't have a QT, as my tank is pretty small. I knew something was wrong because he stopped moving around and stopped picking up stuff. He lost a ton of spines while I was at school too, so I knew he wasn't going to make it sadly.
