What about this?

Your link doesn't work... but I know a few people have bought ebay units and quite a few of them wished they hadn't. I won't say there aren't a few people out there who have had no problems, but if it is the same equipment you were trying to link to you are definitely taking your chances.

One thing to think about is that airwaterice and other higher-end units do a very good job of supporting their products if you have problems. If you buy an ebay unit, you're on your own.

The ebay units typically don't have full sized vertical DI stages (work better than the small, horizontal units), and don't use filmtek 75 gpd membranes, so more junk gets through to the DI. Basically this means you'll exhaust your DI more quickly.

www.airwaterice.com has been a great supporter of our club and makes very nice units. I have a typhoon unit.

I'm pretty sure it's a Water General unit. I have one, the DI can has leaked from day 1, and the horizontally mounted DI unit will have massive channeling problems as the resin shrinks. Also had various other leaks in the fittings, etc. Mine does have a filmtec membrane in it though. It was advertised as a 75GPD unit, it puts out about 40 or so right now after about 750G. About 5:1 rejection for me.

After re-orienting the DI to upflow, and putting an inline shutoff between the RO and DI systems (to keep the pressure off of the DI can), and tightening various fittings, it works great- consistent 0-1 TDS.

I would NOT trust these units to anything other than a garage however. It was cheap and I knew what I was getting into (had read the reviews). But if you don't mind a little fiddling and want 0 TDS for a smaller reef, it will do the job. Chuck
